This Privacy Policy describes how ComicForge ("we", "us", or "the app") handles information when you use the ComicForge iOS application. By using the app, you agree to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

ComicForge is designed to be privacy-first. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other personal contact information.

Device identifier: The app generates an anonymous device identifier (a random UUID stored in your device keychain). It is used solely to associate your usage and purchases with your device. It is not linked to your real-world identity.
Content you provide: Articles, ideas, and prompts you enter are sent to our AI services to generate stories, characters, storyboards, and images. We do not store this content beyond what is needed to fulfill your request.
Purchase information: In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive purchase validation and credit-balance data needed to deliver your purchase, but we do not receive your payment card details.

How We Use Information

To generate comics, characters, storyboards, and images you request.
To process and validate in-app purchases and manage credit balances.
To operate, maintain, and improve the reliability of the app.

Where Your Comics Are Stored

Your projects and finished comics are stored locally on your device. We do not keep a copy of your comics on our servers. Generated images are temporarily cached on our servers for up to one day so your device can download them, after which they are automatically deleted.

Third-Party Services

To provide the app's features, we use third-party AI and infrastructure providers to generate text and images and to process purchases. Content you submit for generation is shared with these providers only as needed to produce your result. Apple processes all in-app purchases under Apple's privacy terms.

Data Retention

We retain generated images on our servers for a maximum of one day. We do not retain the prompts or content you submit beyond the time needed to generate your result. Your local comics remain on your device until you delete them.

Children's Privacy

ComicForge is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Choices

You can delete your comics at any time from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes the locally stored projects and the device identifier from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
